Battle Parade - 2018
61 photosA large-scale military combat parade was held in Kazakhstan on May 7, 2018, at the 40th Otar Military Base in Zhambyl Region to mark Defender of the Fatherland Day. It was the second major event of its kind in the country's history, following the inaugural combat parade in 2013. The parade was reviewed by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Approximately 3,000 military personnel, more than 300 military vehicles, and up to 40 aircraft and helicopters participated in the event, including Su-30SM multirole fighters, Su-25UBM ground-attack aircraft, and Mi-35M attack helicopters. The parade's most distinctive feature was its demonstration of realistic tactical combat operations. The simulated battle scenarios included battlefield reconnaissance, large-scale coordinated air and ground strikes, and live-fire exercises, creating a highly realistic representation of actual combat conditions.
